Registered Nurse — Neuro Med-Surg Acute
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract
- 15 weeks
- Day shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Setting
- Neuro medical-surgical acute care unit
- 54 beds
- Patient ratios: days 1:4–5; nights 1:5–6
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Level 1 trauma experience
- Previous travel experience
- Prior experience working on a dedicated neuro unit
- Experience titrating drips
- Heparin drip experience
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday
- No call or standby requirement
Duties and Work Environment
- House-wide telemetry is used; nurses do not need to read strips
- May float in rotation with staff and may be assigned to other units as needed based on competency
- High-flow support may be encountered for stable COVID patients, though this is rare

Additional Notes
- Local placements within 50 miles are accepted
- Drug screen required
- Tattoos must be covered while on duty
- Piercings are limited to ears only
- Orientation is 2 days
