Employment Type: Travel Contract

Job Overview
Provide safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to help them attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver relationship-based nursing care using the nursing process.
- Demonstrate technical skills to ensure safe practice and positive patient outcomes.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to nursing practice.
- Exhibit leadership to influence clinical and operational outcomes.
- Comply with all policies, including maintaining Protected Health Information (PHI) confidentiality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications
- Required: Diploma in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master in Nursing (MN)
Licenses & Certifications (Required Upon Hire)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association only)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required depending on unit standards
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient knowledge of nursing process and practice
- Ability to use various technical equipment (e.g., stethoscopes, thermometers, electronic monitors)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs)
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping
- Occasional climbing, crawling, balancing
- Constant use of eye/hand/foot coordination, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, feeling
Required Health & Safety Credentials
- COVID-19 Vaccine (preferred, not required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity verification
- Fit Test for respiratory protection (completed within 1 year)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination form
- Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire if applicable
- Varicella immunity verification
- Tdap vaccination within the last 10 years
- Annual 2-Step PPD or IGRA test (Quantiferon/Tspot)
- Influenza vaccine (required during flu season Oct-Mar) or approved declination with masking
- Physical/Health exam within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions
- Drug screen within 60 days of start date
Professional & Compliance Requirements
- Primary source verification of RN license and certifications (no temporary licenses)
- Background checks including Ohio fingerprints, national criminal background, social security trace
- Employment and education verification through third-party
- Competency exams and skills checklist for clinical areas
- Completion of required safety and compliance training modules
- Submission of required documentation including resume, references, and employment history
- Non-expired photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
