LVN – Well-Baby Nursery

LVN / LPN Travel/Contract Position

Location: Camden, Arkansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12s)
• Day shifts: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Every other week (EOW) schedule, holidays as needed

Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Required certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• OBGYN experience preferred

Patient Population & Unit Details

• Unit: Well baby nursery only
• Patient diagnoses: Newborn infants; transfers for special care
• Procedures: Circumcisions, occasional IV antibiotics, hearing screens, PKU collections
• Equipment used:

  • Algo Hearing Screen
  • Panda and Fisher Pykel portable warming stations for infants
  • IV pumps and syringe pumps
  • Gomco device for circumcisions
• MD on call 24/7 for OB/Nursery

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during shifts)
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Residency declaration form (if working on a compact license)
• Background checks:

  • 7-year criminal check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
  • SS Trace, Counties, Nationwide, Sex Offender, Facis level 3
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • State-specific AR criminal search required for all travelers
• Highest level of educational diploma or transcript
• State license primary source verification
• NURSYS verification (as applicable)

Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC as required
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
• Core competency exams (Parts I, II, III) for subcontractors

Health Requirements

• Initial physical exam, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season; mask required if declined

Additional Requirements

• Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
• Performance evaluations if previously worked over 1 year with the system
• Complete employment application/resume
• Annual skills checklist for applicable unit
• Internal evaluations if worked over 2 years with the system
