Job Overview

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Setting: Short-term acute care, Level III trauma center, teaching hospital
Employment type: Travel/contract
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Weekly hours: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Patient ratio: 1:5–6

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Med Surg / Telemetry experience (2 years)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or Military Training Network
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or Military Training Network
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Schedule and Assignment Details

Every other weekend required
Floating within scope and between like units is required
Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
Block scheduling may be accommodated at the manager’s discretion
On-call is not required

Additional Notes

Return travelers must be gone for 1 year before returning
The system allows a 2-contract limit; after extending once, the traveler must be gone for 6 months before returning
Interview availability must be provided with submission
