Required qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Virginia
• Cath Lab Technologist (1 year of experience)
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• CCI
• Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, temporary pacer, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip
• Dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience in diagnostic and interventional cath lab settings using fluoroscopy
• Experience with Epic

Clinical experience and skills

• Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures, including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, temporary pacer, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip
• Experience with sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response protocols
• Experience in diagnostic/interventional cath lab settings using fluoro
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management

Scheduling and call

• 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts are expected every 6-week period
• One full weekend of call must be scheduled together; remaining weekday call shifts may be taken individually
• One Saturday shift for elective cases is required each 6-week period
• Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Charting

• Epic required

Unit overview

• Adult cath lab with 6 procedure rooms and a daily census of 15–20
• Common cases include coronary artery disease, valve disorders, heart failure, and atrial septal defect/patent foramen ovale closures
• Advanced procedures include TAVR, left atrial appendage closures, Cardiomems, thrombectomy, mitral clips, renal denervation, and research protocols

Compliance and onboarding

• Driver’s license or state ID required within 48 hours of signing
• E-Verify or attestation required
• 2 clinical references required
• Complete application/resume required
• Skills checklist required
• Background check, education verification, and other standard onboarding documents are required
• Physical exam, fit mask testing, TB screening, immunization documentation, and drug screening are required
• Photo for badge required
• New hire paperwork and orientation acknowledgment are required before start
