Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Boston, Massachusetts
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Day/Night rotation
- 12-hour shifts
- First-timers accepted
- Local candidates accepted within 50 miles, with rate differential
Role focus
- Pediatric IV Therapy RN on a pediatric vascular access team
- Experience with ultrasound-guided IV placement and vein finder use is required
- IV placement skills are required
- Pediatric vascular access experience is required
- Experience with pediatric-to-adult population is required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Pediatric Infusion experience within the last year
- 2 years of Pediatric Infusion experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Ultrasound guided IV placement experience
- Vein finder experience
- Vascular Access experience
- Pediatric pharmacology competency exam
- Competency exam
- NURSYS verification
- State license verification
- Background check and required state/federal exclusions screening
- 2 professional references from 2 of the last 3 employers
- 10-year work history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
Preferred
- EPIC familiarity
- NRP
- Complete MMR immunization history is highly preferable over titers
- Complete Varicella immunization history is highly preferable over titers
Schedule
- Weekend requirement: Yes
- Rotating shifts:
- 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- 11:00 AM–11:30 PM
- 3:00 PM–3:30 AM
