Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse

Location: Fairfax, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a home health setting
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers

• Maintain attention to detail and a disciplined work ethic

Required Qualifications

• Valid Virginia State RN license or Compact Licensure
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting (home care experience preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance in your name

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check and fingerprinting completed at time of hire (Virginia-specific)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the last year (or negative chest X-ray within 5 years if previously positive)
• COVID-19 vaccination plus 1 booster required; medical or religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation
• Facility-specific Hepatitis B form; proof of vaccination if accepted
• Flu vaccine or exemption required during flu season (November - April) if applicable
• Drug screening as required by client standards
• Physical exam documentation may be required depending on location

Additional Notes

• Must be able to follow directions and work collaboratively
• Ability to remain calm and handle situations with appropriate solutions
• Photo ID for badge issuance may be required
• Some state-specific requirements apply if working in other states (not applicable here)
