PCU Cardiac Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Manchester, New Hampshire
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratio: 1:5
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Floating required to similar units as needed
• Pending license accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Hampshire
• Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• Experience with Epic

• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• First-time travelers are accepted with 2 years of experience and EPIC experience

Unit Details

• Cardiac PCU
• May care for overflow medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, and orthopedic patients
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, and pneumonia
• Unit procedures include post-cath with stent only, ICD/pacer insertions, and cardioversions

Additional Considerations

• Travelers who have ever been former employees at any associated facility are not eligible
• Local travelers within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a rate decrease
