Job Opportunity: CT Scan Tech
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Wednesday to Friday, 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- On-call: Yes, rotation with staff
- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
- Daily Caseload: Varies per shift and location
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Minimum 6 months experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Siemens equipment experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT RT (R) (CT) certification
- SCRQSA (R) (CT) certification
Additional Requirements
- Background Checks:
- Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Includes SSN trace, statewide and national criminal checks, sex offender registry, and others
- Education Verification: Required (diploma or transcripts accepted as placeholder if needed)
- References: Proof of 2 clinical references required
- Employment History: Last 3 clinical employers verified through a third-party vendor
- Competency Exams: Required as applicable
- Color Blind Testing: Required prior to start
- Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with solid light background, frontal view, business casual attire
- Physical Exam: Initial and updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Fit Mask Test: N95 fit test within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and Health Documents:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start or proof of prior positive with chest x-ray
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or vaccination series required; boosters if low titer
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination required
- Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season or medical/religious exemption (no declinations accepted)
- Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
Orientation and Facility Specifics
- Completion of orientation modules prior to start is mandatory; failure to complete results in being sent home
- COVID vaccination records highly preferred; if not vaccinated, must complete vaccination declination form
- Radiation exposure attestation required prior to start
- Parking available with nominal cost for nights and weekends
