Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
Certifications (issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CHEMO certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
Tech Certification Verification - National
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (includes EKG and Medication Administration)
State License Verification (including NURSYS verification)

Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
Fit Test within 6 months prior to start (annual updates required)
Immunizations and Titers (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing):
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (QGold, TSpot, or 2 PPDs within 1 year)
- Rubeola (Measles) – positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Mumps – positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Rubella – positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Hepatitis B – positive titer or series with declination form if applicable
- Varicella – positive titer, 2 vaccines, or proof of disease; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or facility-specific declination during flu season (10/31-3/31)
- COVID initial series required; boosters not required
Drug Testing within 30 days (includes multiple substances; instant acceptable)

Additional Requirements

2 professional references within 3 years of start
Resume or employment application copy
Skills checklist updated annually
Background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
