Registered Nurse - Telemetry Nights

Certifications Required

• Required:

  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (required for all nurses)
• Preferred:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) if applicable

Special Requirements

• Telemetry skills including reading rhythms
• Experience with cardiac medications and drips (no titration)
• Adherence to dress code: no artificial or nail enhancements, no Crocs with holes, blue uniform required
• Must work weekends and holidays

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued ID required
• Criminal background check within 6 months (7-year search including statewide, nationwide, and international if applicable)
• Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification of highest nursing degree required before start
• State-specific background checks and registries as applicable
• Professional license primary source verification (Missouri licenses verified via NURSYS)
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, including a comprehensive panel
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing (N95 required, PAPR not available)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray (2 negative PPDs or equivalent)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as required
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Required facility-specific documents including HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene and dress code policies, and others updated annually
• Skills checklist and competency exams specific to unit required within 1 year of start
• Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)

Additional Notes

• Candidates must comply with all facility policies including dress code and fingernail policy to avoid being sent home from shifts
• Floating may be required within the facility scope
• No local candidates accepted; must be willing to travel beyond 75 miles radius
• Weekend and holiday work is mandatory
