Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Summary

Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department of a 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center serving all age groups. The facility is fully accredited and has a long-standing presence in the community.

Work Schedule

• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call requirements: As needed
• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) and/or TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification is a plus

Job Requirements & Expectations

• Provide quality care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department
• Float to other units as needed
• Demonstrate professionalism, willingness to learn, teamwork, and respect for department expectations
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear and other facility-branded attire are not acceptable

• Facility employs over 1,000 staff and 300 physicians
• Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a traveler
