Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Hudson, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

Level II Trauma Center with 309 beds
Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 5 procedure suites
Staff includes 1 Director, 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, approximately 4.6 RNs, and 5 techs
Day shift staffed fully; night shift on-call crew for emergent cases
Patient ratio approximately 1 patient to 3-4 staff members
Equipment includes Shockwave, Laser, CSI, Penumbra, IABP, Impella, Rotoblator
EMR systems used: MacLab & Meditech

Typical Procedures

Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catheterization
Peripheral Vascular procedures
Pacemaker and ICD management
Watchman device procedures
Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
Electrophysiology/Ablation (EP/ABL)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Electrophysiology/Ablation (EP/ABL) procedures is a plus

Work Schedule & Expectations

Scheduled according to facility policy
Expected to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital staff
Typical workweek: 36 hours
