12-hour shifts
36 hours per week
Unit has 35 beds
Ratios are 1:4-5

Required Qualifications

BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
RN license
Driver’s license required at submittal
Must be able to titrate drips

Schedule

Shifts: 0630-1900 and 1830-0700
Every other weekend required
Every third holiday required
No call or standby requirement

Unit Details

Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
Common diagnoses include cardiac, nephrology, strokes, DM, and continuous EEG monitoring
Common titratable or set-rate drips include Cardizem, betablockers, and seizure medications
Charge nurse on each shift
Nurse aides/patient care techs are present at a ratio of 1:10 or 2:20
Fast-paced floor

Floating

May float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab

Orientation

First week is onboarding, followed by 1-2 days of orientation on the floor

Additional Notes

Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
RTO must be provided upfront and is limited to 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract
Additional RTO will not be approved after submission
Candidate may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
