Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Endo/GI

Work Schedule

• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• Shift start times vary between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM depending on case schedule
• Call required:

  • Monday to Friday: 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM (2 call shifts per week)
  • Weekends: 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM (2 weekend call days per month)
• Weekend and holiday call only

Unit and Environment

• Endoscopy/GI lab with 3 procedure bays
• 15-30 procedures per day
• Common procedures include ERCP, EGD, PEGs, all scopes, occasional bronchoscopy with RT support, and some GI procedures in the OR
• EMR system: Cerner
• No floating; floor-specific orientation provided (about one week or until comfortable)
• Scrub color provided
• Charge nurse supervises
• Hospitalist or intensivist available on call after hours
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
• No IV team support

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Additional Information

• This is a travel contract position
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
