Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Endo/GI
Location
- Long Beach, California
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Specialty

Work Schedule
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
- Shift start times vary between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM depending on case schedule
- Call required:
- Monday to Friday: 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM (2 call shifts per week)
- Weekends: 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM (2 weekend call days per month)
- Weekend and holiday call only
Unit and Environment
- Endoscopy/GI lab with 3 procedure bays
- 15-30 procedures per day
- Common procedures include ERCP, EGD, PEGs, all scopes, occasional bronchoscopy with RT support, and some GI procedures in the OR
- EMR system: Cerner
- No floating; floor-specific orientation provided (about one week or until comfortable)
- Scrub color provided
- Charge nurse supervises
- Hospitalist or intensivist available on call after hours
- Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
- No IV team support
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of endoscopy nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
