Intensive Care Unit RN

Overview

• Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12, 7p-7a, with weekend and holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous nursing experience

Role Summary

• Provides direct patient care on the unit, including nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, admission/transfer/discharge activities, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning
• Performs comprehensive assessments, documents patient status, responds to changes in condition, delegates appropriately, and supports discharge planning
• Participates in unit-based activities and quality improvement efforts, including patient satisfaction, falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation monitoring
