Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Location

Wausau, Wisconsin

Assignment Details

Travel position
13 weeks
Start date: ASAP
12-hour night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Float to all inpatient units as needed
Every other weekend and every other holiday
Guaranteed 48 hours per week
Eligible for 36 hours of low-census unbillable hours
Scrubs: any color

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience with Epic

Preferred Experience

Trauma level II experience is highly preferred

Clinical Setting

Medical-surgical unit with medical and pediatrics population
Travelers do not take pediatric patients
Common patient needs include respiratory illness, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal

EPIC required

Additional Notes

Flu season policy requires masking at all times for travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccination
