Travel RN Opportunity – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation RN
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 (candidate to specify preference)
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Number of Openings: 1
• Required Certifications: BLS
• Experience Required: 1-2 years, with at least 1 year of acute care experience
• Float Requirements: May float to MedSurg as needed

• Unit Type: Acute Rehabilitation
• Number of Beds: 13
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 6 patients
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Neurological conditions, trauma, burns, gait training/strengthening, wound vac management
• Equipment: Lift equipment available
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Must have Iowa SING background check cleared (criminal and child abuse portions) – no exceptions
• All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start; no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification required (child and adult)
• Drug test: 10-panel screening including opiates
• Immunization titers must be current within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
• Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday

Preferred Qualifications

• Travel nursing experience preferred but not required
• Experience in MedSurg or LTAC settings is acceptable

• 36 or 48 hour weekly guarantees can be accommodated (candidate to specify preference)
