Special Procedures Tech (IR Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Springfield, Missouri

Position Details

  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Days, 5 x 8-hour shifts
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: As required by facility
  • Call Requirements: As required by facility
  • Number of Openings: 4

Licensure & Certification Requirements

  • Required Licensure: Advanced registry (CI, VI, RCIS) OR ARRT (R)
  • Required Certifications: BLS from AHA only
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and invasive procedures on various anatomy and pathology
  • Support care team during procedures, including scrub assistance and recording images
  • Operate oxygen, suction, blood pressure, and other essential patient care equipment
  • Operate special procedures imaging equipment following radiation safety practices
  • Administer contrast materials correctly and review medication reconciliation for contraindications
  • Observe patients before, during, and after procedures; use appropriate immobilization and transfer devices
  • Other duties as assigned
