Travel RN Opportunity - Nephrology Unit

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Overview

• Level III trauma center with 198 beds
• Services include medical, surgical, rehabilitation, childbirth, cancer, nephrology, pediatric, behavioral health, day surgery, imaging, and lab testing
• Nephrology unit is an extension of Med/Surg units
• Unit has 24 beds with patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:6
• Patient population primarily geriatric and adults
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
• Equipment includes VS machine, bladder scanner, lifts, thermal imaging, IV pumps/tubes

Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Nephrology
• Shift: Days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 2 weekend shifts per month
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: As needed per facility needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Nephrology or Med/Surg)
• Med/Surg experience required
• Nephrology experience preferred but not required
• Charge nurse experience preferred but not required
• Required Certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Required Education: ADN
• Must have at least 3.2 overall rating on skills checklist
• Observation Unit experience is a plus

Common Diagnoses/Treatments

• End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)
• Peritoneal Dialysis
• Hemodialysis

• No prior travel experience explicitly required
• Weekend shifts required as per policy
