Overview

Travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina
9-week contract
36 hours per week
Unit: CVOR
Unit setting: 6 ORs
May float if needed, infrequent

Required Qualifications

CVOR Technologist with 2 years of experience
CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
2 or more completed travel assignments
BLS
Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification
Experience with CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
Experience with Valve Replacement procedures
Experience with VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) insertions
Experience with TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
Experience with VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery)
Experience with Lobectomy procedures
Experience with Pacemaker/AICD insertions
Experience with Septal Myectomy procedures
Experience with Ross Procedure
Experience with EVH (Endoscopic Vein Harvesting)

Preferred Qualifications

First Assist experience and proficiency

CABG
Valve Replacement
VAD Insertions

VATS
Lobectomy
Pacemaker/AICD Insertions
Septal Myectomy
Ross Procedure
EVH
IABP Insertions
Femoral Cannulation
Circulatory Arrest

Unit Details

All cases require 1 scrub and 1 circulator
Pump cases also require a first assist/Heart Holder, which can be an RN or CST
On-call shifts will be assigned and rotated among staff
Cerner is used for documentation
Stryker is the equipment used
Hospital will provide scrubs
Hospital surgical attire policy must be followed
