Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location: Joplin, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
Hours per Week: 36 (weekly guaranteed)
Weekend Hours: As required by facility
Call Requirements: None

Job Description

• Provide respiratory therapy in an acute care hospital setting.
• Evaluate patient reactions to respiratory therapy, recommend treatment plans, and collaborate with patients, physicians, and nursing staff.
• Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri.
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS).
• Post-secondary (undergraduate) education preferred.

Work Environment & Unit Information

• Facility uses EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Dress code requires black scrubs; torn clothes, open-toed shoes, and not wearing scrubs are unacceptable.
• No call responsibilities.
• Weekend hours as needed.
