Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery (Travel)

Location

Lewiston, Maine
Community hospital setting with 25 beds
24/7 Emergency Care (Trauma Level III)
Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
Work setting includes Operating Room (OR) and Supplies department
EHR system: EPIC
Equipment: DaVinci surgical system

Contract Details

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift options: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible 4x10 or 5x8 shifts)
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Call requirements: 15 days per month, including two weekends and weekday call
Float requirements: Yes, may float to general OR if available

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Skills and Experience

Must have experience as a circulating nurse in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Proficient in aseptic technique
Experience with procedures including:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
- Mitral valve replacement
- Pericardial window
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
Preferred experience with:
- Inpatient and outpatient care
- Trauma cases
- Vascular surgery
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair
- Atrial Septal Defect repair
- Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) management

Additional Information

Scrubs provided via scrub dispenser
Located in a city with access to outdoor recreational activities and cultural amenities
Teaching hospital environment with Joint Commission accreditation
