Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Key West, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, no block schedule)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide cardiopulmonary services as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist.
- Follow approved protocols and department policies to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care to inpatients and outpatients.
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Responsibilities include:
- Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
- Airway maintenance
- Ventilator management
- Insertion of arterial lines
- Intubations
- Pulmonary function studies
- Cardiac and pulmonary stress tests
- Blood gas analysis
- Must be comfortable independently working with NICU patients. Pediatric experience is also acceptable.
- Charting system used: Medhost.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Florida.
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP.
