Registered Nurse - OR (Surgery)

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Specialty: Operating Room (OR) - Surgery
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift Details: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: As needed; typically 10-11 days per month (if only two staff, call increases to 15-16 days per month)
• Float Requirements: As needed, including Pre-Op
• Patient Population: All ages
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
• Unit Beds: 3 OR beds, 3 PACU beds, 5 Preop beds
• Electronic Health Records (EHR): CQI and Medhost
• Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs; casual wear and open-toed shoes are not allowed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Travel experience is a plus but not required
• Professional demeanor expected
• Facility is a 47-bed acute care center serving Northern New Mexico

• Background check process includes fingerprinting and determination codes for clearance to work
