Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed

Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
Equipment: Baxter pumps
Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Medhost
Trauma Level: III
Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN), ED holding (as needed)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Clinical Experience & Common Diagnoses

Experience with STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis
Post-operative care: CABG, Valve repair/replacement
Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR
ETOH Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma
Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) & Transcatheter Valve Replacement (TVAR)

Additional Information

Attendance Policy: One call-out allowed per contract; second call-out requires documentation and is reviewed case-by-case
No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
Shift preference flexibility should be indicated (day, night, or both)
Community hospital with Joint Commission accreditation and certified Chest Pain Center
Location offers outdoor recreation and proximity to major cities (Las Vegas, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Los Angeles, San Diego)
