Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Assignment

Location

Saint Louis, Missouri

Position Details

Employment Type: Travel
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (06:30 - 19:00)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend and call hours as required by facility
Float requirements as required by facility

Unit Information

Licensed for 767 beds
Patient ratios based on a point system and staffing
Equipment includes Avea ventilators, LTV transport ventilators, V60 Bipap, Bellavista (incoming), VapoTherm, and Airvo for high flow oxygen
Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
Patient population includes respiratory patients across SICU, CCU, CVICU, ED, Neuro, and Trauma units
Pediatric patients stabilized in ED and transferred to another hospital

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of recent respiratory therapist experience

Preferred Qualifications

PALS certification
Experience in adult critical care and high-volume, busy Emergency Department with trauma exposure
Skills in blood gas draw, processing on GEM analyzer, and blood gas interpretation

Personality Fit

Strong, confident therapist with good time management skills
Willingness to assist coworkers as time allows

Dress Code

Scrubs must be black (Mercy standard)

Additional Notes

The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center and a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center
Recognized for advanced certifications in heart failure and STEMI care
The hospital has earned a "B" grade in a recent national hospital safety rating
