Travel RN position in Birmingham, Alabama
Specialty: Cardiology/Medsurge
Shift: Nights, 3x12 schedule
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alabama
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Cardiology experience

Schedule

Every other weekend
Call not required

Unit Details

Patient ratio: 1:6
30-bed unit
First to float, including to like units and facilities within a 25-mile radius

Patient Population

Pre- and post-heart cath
Med-surg
General cardiology, including chest pain and hypertension

Preferred Experience

Med-surg experience
Cardiology experience
Acute care skills

Work Environment

Standard acute care equipment
EMR: Cerner
