Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS
PALS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

9-bed unit
Patient ratio: 1 RN to 1–2 patients
Floating may be required to Pediatrics and NICU
Self-scheduling available

Clinical Skills / Procedures

IV starts
Catheter insertions
Assisting with lumbar punctures
Central line dressing changes
Hemodynamic monitoring
Tracheostomy care
Tube feeding and placement
ICP monitoring
Ventilator management

Schedule Notes

In a 6-week schedule, 3 weekends must be worked

Dress Code

Navy blue or white scrubs
Navy pants with white tops are acceptable
