Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS
- PALS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Details
- 9-bed unit
- Patient ratio: 1 RN to 1–2 patients
- Floating may be required to Pediatrics and NICU
- Self-scheduling available
Clinical Skills / Procedures
- IV starts
- Catheter insertions
- Assisting with lumbar punctures
- Central line dressing changes
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Tracheostomy care
- Tube feeding and placement
- ICP monitoring
- Ventilator management
Schedule Notes
- In a 6-week schedule, 3 weekends must be worked
Dress Code
- Navy blue or white scrubs
- Navy pants with white tops are acceptable
