Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient Rehab Therapy

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift (08:30 AM – 05:00 PM)
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, no self-scheduling
• Holiday Coverage: May be required to cover holidays
• Work Setting: Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed rehab; may float daily between two nearby facilities
• Patient Load: 8 to 10 patients per day, 1 therapist per day
• Common Diagnoses: Orthopedic total joints, neurological (strokes), occasional brain injuries (not TBI), medical, and general ICU patients
• EMR System: EPIC
• Orientation: 2-3 days unit/department-specific orientation
• Dress Code: Scrubs permitted, color must differ from other departments (colors provided upon hire)

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Occupational Therapist license
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab settings
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers are acceptable (prior travel experience not required)

Additional Information

• Staffing: No COTAs or rehab aides on the unit
• Supervision: OT Manager available on each shift
• Coverage Area: Must be located outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (address verification required)
