• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days (with after-hours call for nights and weekends)

• Work Setting: Hospital inpatient and outpatient units
• Unit Size: 545-bed hospital

Job Description

• Perform electroencephalography (EEG) procedures for patients ranging from birth to geriatrics.
• Conduct inpatient bedside routine EEGs, bedside long-term hookups, and outpatient routine EEG tests.
• Utilize the standard 10-20 system and cap application.
• Follow pre-established patient safety guidelines.
• Submit reports summarizing test results to physicians.
• Monitor, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair EEG equipment; document and report defective equipment.
• Detect and summarize data patterns by producing simple reports.
• Use equipment such as Epic and Natus Xltek.
• Floating limited to hospital inpatient and outpatient departments.
• Participate in a 2-day orientation program specific to the unit.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in neurodiagnostics.
• Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEGT.) certification via ABRET.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• Ability to perform EEGs on pediatric and adult ICU patients.
• EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) experience is a plus.
• Must be able to badge in and out at the facility.

• Call coverage required for nights and weekends.
• Local placements within an 80-mile radius.
• Prior employment with the facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying.
