NICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Indiana

Job Details

• Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights (7pm - 7am)
• Hours: 36 hours per week (typically 3 shifts of 12 hours)
• Unit: Level III NICU (31 beds) with 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Float: May float to age-appropriate Pediatrics or PICU units
• Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience
• Current Indiana RN license
• BLS (AHA only) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Orientation

• Mandatory attendance for all 7 days of orientation
• Week 1: Monday through Friday, 8-hour days
• Week 2: Monday and Tuesday, 8-hour days
• Orientation hours are non-billable

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the NICU
• Utilize equipment such as EPIC for computer charting and Pyxis for medication administration

Additional Notes

• Call-off or cancellation allowed up to 24 hours before shift for the 13-week assignment
• Local rate adjustments apply for clinicians living within 50 miles (not relevant for pay details here)
• Candidates should disclose if time off is required during the assignment
• Position may be offered as 1099 (independent contractor) status; clarify during application if applicable
