Schedule

Nights
12-hour shifts
Shift times: 6:30 PM–7:00 AM and 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
Every other weekend
Manager schedules shifts; no block scheduling or self-scheduling

Unit Overview

Combined cardio, general ICU, PCU, and MedSurg unit
18 beds
Patient mix includes intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients, with cardiac and vascular diagnoses
PCU patients and ratios are expected

Required Qualifications

RN license
1 year of experience with this patient population
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
Ability to titrate drips
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Driver’s license required at submittal

Key Responsibilities

Care for ICU/PCU patients
Float to same-level and lower-acuity units
Work with titratable medications and respiratory support equipment as needed

Additional Notes

ASAP start needed
RTO must be submitted upfront; no additional RTO will be approved after submission
Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
Orientation includes 1–2 shifts on the unit, tailored to experience
