ICU RN

Overview

• Travel contract in Enumclaw, Washington
• 13-week contract
• Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 weeks; expect 25+ hours

Unit / Setting

• ICU in a combined unit with 4 ICU beds and 19 Medical beds
• Nurses may also take Med Surg assignments in rotation and float down
• ICU ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 and does not flex
• May care for pediatric patients ages 4–17
• No dialysis and no cath lab

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of ICU experience
• Ability to take a full Med Surg assignment
• Active BLS
• WA license
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• PALS or ENPC
• Ability to titrate all critical drips
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry
• Strong vent management skills

Preferred

• Pediatric experience

Schedule / Staffing

• Every other weekend
• Holidays rotate with permanent staff
• 6 weeks at a time scheduling blocks may be possible

Float / Coverage

• Must be able to function well in ICU and take full Med Surg assignments
• Primary assignment is at St Elizabeth Hospital, with floating throughout Region Two when needed

Additional Notes

• Charge Nurse and/or Hospital Resource Nurse on every shift
• CNA support is usually 2 per shift
• RT is in house 24/7 and manages vent, BiPap, and CPAP settings
• No call or standby requirement
