Role Summary

• Peds OR RNs needed.
• Peds experience is preferred, not required.

Unit / Setting

• Peds facility attached to JW Ruby
• 6 OR’s and 1 procedural room
• 15–28 cases per day

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• Unexpired copy of the candidate’s driver’s license must be included with submission
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrubbing preferred, not required

Schedule / Coverage

• Evenings
• Rotating/all shifts needed
• 40 hours per week
• 1 call shift per week
• 1–2 weekend call
• Rotating holiday coverage
• Mandatory standby requirement with 30-minute response time
• Midnight RN will be Charge RN
• Rotational coverage of afternoons and weekends when permanent staff are requesting off

Float / Assignment Scope

• Floating required to 5N, 1W, and Childrens

Cases / Clinical Experience

• Common cases include tonsils, hypospadias, rectus muscle, craniotomy, cardiac, and ortho

Other Details

• Scrubs provided
• 2-day orientation and checklist completion
• 2–8 hour and 2–12 hour shifts
• Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system
• Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
• Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email
• Up to 2 candidates per opening may be submitted
