Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Unit Details
- 6 WEST - Neuro
- 20 beds total, with 14 floor beds
- Patient ratio: 1:5-6 for floor patients
Required Qualifications
- BLS
- NIHSS, and it must be in hand at time of submission
- Strong Neuro experience
- Proficiency and frequency with G-tubes
- Recent Epic experience
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS
Clinical Focus
- Neurosciences
- DBS (Deep Brain Stimulators)
- Stroke
- Seizures
- Surgical/PostOp Spines
- Neurological Disorders
Schedule
- Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Weekend requirement varies by schedule; travelers are expected to work into the holiday rotation
Floating
- May float first to 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10E, then to the rest of the hospital if needed
Additional Notes
- Charge Nurse available 24/7
- RT is available 24/7
- RN's do not have to read strips
- Scrub color: any combination of white and royal blue
- Orientation: 1 shift on the unit
