Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Acute Long Term Care (Nights)

Job Summary

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care in a therapeutic environment.
• Work with residents in specialized units including:

  • Alzheimer’s/Dementia Unit (31 beds): Use verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to manage behaviors associated with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
  • Transitional Rehabilitation Unit (42 beds): Provide short-term skilled nursing and rehab services for patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other short-term illnesses or injuries. Nursing duties may include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment/management.
  • Long-Term Care Unit (42 beds): Care for residents needing long-term placement in a home-like environment.
• Flexibility to float between units as needed.
• Coverage required 24/7.

Shift

• Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of Long Term Care experience, including experience within the last year

Additional Information

• Candidates with prior licensure issues will not be considered.
• Previous employees are not accepted.
• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
• The employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
