Job Opportunity: Emergency Department RN - Days

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Description

Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department.
Assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay.
Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood products as needed.
Provide patient education.
Document nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses.
Work in a full-spectrum emergency care center including a separate Chest Pain Center.

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license for Maine.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
Minimum 1 year of previous nursing experience.
Minimum 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience.
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
Candidates with licensure or background issues will not be considered.

Additional Information

Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
