Registered CT Technologist (Radiology) - Contract
Location: Klawock, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 days on (7am - 6pm), 7 days off
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered CT Technologist skilled in diagnostic imaging to perform CT examinations and other imaging modalities. The role requires professional judgment in radiation protection, patient care across all age groups, and participation in quality assurance and departmental operations. The technologist will assist with invasive procedures, maintain equipment, and support interventional imaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic CT examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation.
- Conduct diagnostic medical radiography/sonography within the department and other areas.
- Maintain patient records and files accurately.
- Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance programs and equipment care.
- Assist with invasive/interventional procedures and preparation.
- Consult with referring physicians and adjust protocols based on patient age and condition.
- Operate automatic contrast injectors and manage contrast levels per age group.
- Competent in tele-radiology transmission and sterile technique.
- Participate in supply inventory and ordering.
- Perform daily and weekly quality control tasks.
- Transfer patients to and from radiology.
- Rotate shifts as required and be willing to take call, reporting within 20 minutes.
- Support and lead staff as a Lead Technologist when needed, including scheduling, problem-solving, and orientation.
- Attend department meetings, in-services, and disaster drills.
- Willingness to learn and perform duties in multiple imaging modalities (Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Mammography).

- Geriatric Adult (70+ years)
Required Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification in CT (Computed Tomography)
- CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- CT Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification
- Must be willing and able to take call and report to work within 20 minutes
Additional Information
- Start date contingent on fingerprint processing, which may delay start by approximately 6 weeks after submission.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan to assess and meet patient needs.

- Must comply with ethics and compliance standards and report any variances appropriately.
