Occupational Therapist - New Mexico (Clovis)
Job Summary
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients based on Occupational Therapy principles and practices.
- Evaluate and treat patients using a variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of function, occupation, and developmental disorders.
- Oversee comprehensive rehabilitation programs addressing physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental well-being.
- Promote patient and caregiver self-determination by optimizing use of outside resources to achieve maximum independence.
- Coordinate and communicate with multiple disciplines or services involved in patient care.
- Work towards discharge goals established at initial evaluation and throughout the episode of care.
- Evaluate and treat both Acute Care Inpatient and Outpatient populations, with a primary focus on Outpatient.
- Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
Contract Length
- 26 weeks
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years current experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in Home Health Care (HHC), Outpatient (OP), and Acute care settings.
- At least one previous 13-week travel assignment (prior travel experience required).
Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Certifications & Licensure
- New Mexico state Occupational Therapist license.
- BLS certification required (must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).
Additional Requirements
- Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
- EPIC experience preferred; training available on-site.
