Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day

Overview

This role prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, operates nuclear medicine imaging equipment, and analyzes images to support physician diagnosis.

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Kentucky
Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
BLS
ACLS
NMTCB or ARRT
Graduate of the military's Nuclear Medicine Program

Key Responsibilities

Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures and provide patient support throughout imaging
Administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate gamma cameras and other specialized imaging equipment
Analyze nuclear medicine images and collaborate with physicians on findings
Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain radiation dose records
Perform quality control checks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain procedure documentation
Participate in staff orientation and ongoing education
