Med Surg/Tele unit
24 beds
Average unit census: 22
Staffing guideline: 1:5

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
2 years of telemetry experience
Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Ventilator management experience
1 year of travel experience for travel positions

Preferred Qualifications

EPIC experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Associate degree in nursing considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program

Travel Requirement

Prior travel experience required for travel positions only; not required for per diem positions

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for a designated group of patients
Assess, evaluate, and prioritize patient care needs
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
Educate patients and caregivers
Document nursing care accurately and thoroughly
Perform charge nurse duties as assigned
