Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (5x8 shift)
• 40 hours per week

Job Summary

• Plan and deliver nutritional care to patients following current clinical standards.
• Perform nutritional assessments and screenings for inpatients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams including physicians and nurse practitioners.
• Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and families.
• Participate in medical and discharge rounds as needed.
• Assist with audits and quality improvement activities.
• Support orientation and training of new staff.
• Maintain professional relationships with hospital staff and community.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Completion of an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD).

Certifications & Licensure

• Completion of an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship (DI) with at least 1,000 supervised practice hours.
• Current Registered Dietitian status by passing the national exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Maintain registration with 15 continuing education credits annually.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity or experience with menu management software and electronic medical record systems (e.g., CBORD, Meditech).
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and multitask.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, bend, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
