Mammography Technologist (Temp) – Dallas, TX

Job Summary

  • Perform mammography tests and develop quality breast images for radiologists.
  • Evaluate patient history and physician orders to ensure appropriate procedures.
  • Assist physicians with special procedures as needed.
  • Handle selected medications and perform Quality Control checks on equipment per American College of Radiology standards.
  • Maintain documentation in Radiology Information System.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort.
  • Provide training and supervision to radiologic students rotating through mammography.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation requirements.
  • Stay current with advancements in mammography through continuing education and maintain ARRT certification and Texas licensure.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement programs and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Contract Details

  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Work week: Wednesday through Tuesday
  • Shift: Days, 8 hours per day
  • Overtime and holiday pay at 1.5x
  • Callback pay at 1.5x with a minimum of 2 hours
  • Orientation: No unbillable hours
  • Cancellation policy: Employer may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13 weeks
  • Local candidates within 35 miles accepted with adjusted rate

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Mammography Technologist license in Texas
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Active ARRT (R) certification
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification
