Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (Afternoons)

Job Details

• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on the unit.
• Typical patient ratio is 1:6.
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color.
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required.
• Holiday and overtime multipliers apply (1.25%).
• Must be willing to float to any Medical Surgical unit.
• Block scheduling is not allowed.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Requirements & Notes

• Traveler must be available to work two holidays: Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day (and surrounding days). Not all holidays can be taken off.
• Requested time off (RTO) must be noted and verified at profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted.
• All scheduling requests, including time off, must be submitted at the time of application; requests after offer or during interview will not be approved and may lead to rescinded offers.
• Must provide at least two specific interview dates/times; vague availability such as "anytime" is not accepted.
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered. Permanent address must be included in the profile.
• Profiles must include work history, skills checklist (pertinent to Medical Surgical nursing, current within 1 year), and one supervisory signed reference from within the past two years.
• Travelers must have voicemail set up and be reachable by phone; profiles without voicemail will be redirected.
