Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Location: Eureka, California

Job Details

  • Shift: Day shift, 8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Years of Experience Required: 1 year (first-timers accepted)

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Licenses

  • Current professional license as a Radiation Therapist valid in California
  • CPDH Certificate required for all RTs working in California

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist
  • Must have current BLS and ARRT certifications
  • Ability to float between similar units as needed
  • Must be able to work day shifts as scheduled
  • Must have a valid California license for Radiation Therapy

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
    • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Respirator clearance required for travel candidates (annual)
  • References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete required WorkRamp training modules annually, including:
    • Regulatory requirements
    • Specialty-specific modules for Radiology/RT
    • Facility-specific orientation and compliance training
  • Photo for badge with neutral background required prior to start
  • Must comply with float policy acknowledging possible assignment to other similar units within reasonable distance

Notes

  • Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
  • No pending license acceptance
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
  • First-time travelers are accepted
