Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Home Health

Contract Length

• 14 weeks

Work Schedule

• Day shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5 days per week, 40 hours total)
• Weekend work generally not required but may be requested occasionally
• Possible on-call sign-up if needed

Patient Population

• Geriatric patients

Job Expectations

• Productivity expectation: 30 points per week (approximately 6 patient visits per day)
• Local candidates are acceptable

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Minimum of 2 years of Home Health experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Care setting
• Experience with OASIS documentation
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Required Documentation and Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID carried during hours of service
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Background check covering 7 years, including:

  • Criminal history (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
  • Social Security trace
  • Sex offender registry
  • Motor vehicle records
  • FACIS Level 3
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated with each contract renewal
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Auto insurance documentation

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
• N95 fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually (can be done onsite)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually (with provisions for past positive results)
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Seasonal influenza vaccination or documented declination (collected upon client request)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption using facility-specific forms

References and Evaluations

• Two professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Performance evaluations required if employed over 1 year
• Internal evaluations required if employed over 2 years

This position is ideal for experienced home care RNs comfortable with geriatric patient care, OASIS documentation, and working independently in the community setting.
