Behavioral Health Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Harlan, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse, Behavioral Health
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night (3 or 4 shifts per week), 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Schedule: 36/48 hours over two weeks
• Orientation: Bi-weekly
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility to be considered
• Float within scope of practice required
• Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification or training

Additional Requirements

• Must sign assignment confirmation within 24 hours of offer
• Must submit with current valid driver’s license and required coversheet
• Annual renewal of certifications and background checks required for contract extensions
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season; must be documented through facility portal
• Facility requires notification of latex allergy prior to start
• Must complete facility-specific employee health attestation and upload required health documentation screenshots prior to compliance deadline

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• ACLS certification is not required for Psychiatric specialty
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam is not required for Psychiatric specialty
• CPI certification cost may be reimbursed or completed onsite on a case-by-case basis
