Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Seattle, Washington
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (3 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Clinical Setting
- Level III or IV NICU
- Cares for 23–24 week gestation infants
- No ECMO; all other listed NICU support modalities are used
- Attends high-risk deliveries
- Supports neonatal surgeries
Work Expectations
- Must be open to floating to different campuses
- Rare floating may include SCN or Pediatrics/NBN, with newborns only if assigned there
- Block scheduling may be approved if preferred
Important Notes
- Previous permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for at least 3 months to qualify
- Travelers usually do not admit babies because the unit has a dedicated admit nurse
